In this otherworldly tragic-comedy, Cab Curio, a famous author, secretly dabbling as an aspiring piano composer, performs nightly amongst the ghosts of his father’s clocktower and is just beginning to repurpose his typewriter taps as percussion when he finds out he has one week to live. Cab rebels against time and ventures boldly into the space between the keys, confiding in a historical painting on the wall of the lovely Lenore, his favorite musical idol, a tap dancer who sees all. Meanwhile, Cab’s silly, villainous inner critics, the judge Jury and Executioner with the help of Ducky, the protagonist of Cab’s novels, seeks to unravel him before his time is up.
